Grand Prairie Thermostat Installation And Repair

Picture of a man touching a screen with his finger.
Your thermostat is like the 'brain' of your HVAC system. When you decide to turn the temperature up or down, it has to go through your thermostat. It is the regulator or manager of the entire system. Its function is to maintain the temperature that you prefer.
There can be many indicators that your heating manager might require replacement or repair.

-The heater or AC won't turn on
-Your room temperature and setting don't match
-Your AC won't turn off
-The thermostat has no power or is unresponsive

There are four main types, each with it's plus and min points.
There are differences between all of them, in cost and in energy efficiency.
You cannot just choose any type since it has to be compatible with your system's voltage requirements.
Let us guide you in choosing the best- fit to your specific situation!

Four main types
Non-programmable
These thermostats often referred to as 'manual', and are the most basic option. They will allow you to 'manually' make adjustments: turn the heating or cooling system on and off, set the temperature, and operate the system fan. These ones are the cheapest.

WI-FI
Just like the programmable ones, they detect the temperature in your home, and turn the heating or cooling on and off to keep your home at a set temperature level.
These heating managers work with WI-FI connection. They help reduce the energy cost dramatically if you are willing to use them correctly. If you use the technology correctly, you can save a lot of money. They can automatically adjust the temperature, whether you're home or away or sleeping. They can also analyze your heating and cooling patterns. But again, you need to know how to use it correctly because if you neglect the functionality, a WI-FI manager might not be the best option for you.

Programmable
Programmable thermostats can store six or more temperature settings a day. They adjust heating or AC turn-on times as the outside temperature changes, which can save you energy and money. A lot of people think that keeping your heating regulator at one set temperature is the best way to save energy, but this is untrue. Setting a lower temperature and them raising it throughout the day will save you more energy than maintaining a set temperature around the clock.
It is also more environment-friendly.

Smart
They have the same functionality as the WI-FI thermostat. They are responsible for controlling a home's heating or cooling. They allow users to control heating settings from internet-connected devices. So this will enable users to adjust the temperature from any place, as long as they have an Internet connection. Imagine sitting in Starbucks, and you realize that you left the air conditioning running at a high setting. You can, then and there, adjust the setting of the AC. Pretty cool, right? Of course, it can save you a lot of money, is very energy effective and above all, environment-friendly! If you can afford this option (It is the most expensive to install), it will save you money in the long run.
